"The LORD's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the

righteous."

주님은 악한 사람의 집에는 저주를 내리시지만, 의로운 사람이 사는 곳에는 복을 내려 주신다.(잠3:33)

 

                              英語聖經을 쉽게 解釋, 解說 합니다

                              사도행전 28장6절 부터 시작합니다. 

 

6.The people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead,but after waiting a

long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds

and said he was a god.

섬 사람들은, 그가 살이 부어 오르거나 당장 쓰러져 죽으려니, 생각하면서 기다렸으나

오랫동안 기다려도 그에게 아무런 이상이 생기지 않자, 그들의 생각이 바뀌어 그가 신

이라고 생각하게 되었다. 

 

해설:

이 구절은 바울이 하나님의 보호를 받고 있음을 보여주며, 사람들의 믿음과 생각이 어떻게 변화되는

지를 보여주는 좋은 예시라 하겠다.

 

7.There was an estate nearby that belonged to Publius, the  chief official of

the island. He welcomed us to his home and for three days entertained us

hospitably.

Ex: The host welcomed us hospitably, offering us food and drinks as

       soon as we arrived.

 

그 근처에 그 섬의 추장인 보블리오가 농장을 가지고 있었다. 그가 우리를 그리로

초대해서, 사흘 동안 친절하게 대접해 주었다.

 

8.His father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Paul went in

to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him.

마침 보블리오의 아버지가 열병과 이질에 걸려서 병석에 누워 있었는데 바울이  들어

가서 기도하고, 그에게 안수를 주고 병을 낫게 해주었다.

 

해설: 치유의 사역

이는 안수기도의 형태로, 성령의 능력을 통해 병을 고치는 행위를 보여주는 장면으로서 하나님의

능력이 바울을 통해 역사함을 보여주는 대표적인 예이며또한 초대교회에서의 치유의 사역을 보여 주고있다. 

 

9.When this had happened, the rest of the sick on the island came and were cured.

 

이런 일이 일어나니, 그 섬에서 병을 앓고 있는 다른 사람들도 찾아와서는 고침을 받았다.

 

10.They honored us in many ways and when we were ready to sail, they furnished

us with the supplies we needed.

 

그들은 극진한 예로 우리를 대하여 주었고, 우리가 떠날 때에는, 우리에게 필요한 물건들을

배에다가 실어 주었다.
