For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools

will destroy them;

waywardness: 제멋대로, 변덕스런,고집스

Ex: The waywardness of the weather caused the event to be cancelled.

      날씨의 변덕스러움 때문에 행사가 취소되었다

complacency: 자기만족, 안일한.

Ex: His complacency led to failure.

      그의 안일함은 실패로 이어졌다.

 

어리석은 자의 제멋대로 행함은 그들을 죽이며, 미련한 자의 안일함은 그들을 멸망시키리라.(잠1:32)

11.But the centurion, instead of listening to what Paul said,followed the advice

12.Since the harbor was unsuitable to winter in, the majority decided that we

should sail on, hoping to reach Phoenix and winter there. This was a harbor in

그리고 그항구는 겨울을 나기에 적합하지 못한 곳이므로, 거의 모두는, 거기에서 출항

하여, 할 수 있으면 뵈닉스로 가서 겨울을 나기로 뜻을 정하였다. 뵈닉스는 크레타 섬의

항구로, 서남쪽과 서북쪽을 바라보는 곳이다.

 

13.When a gentle south wind began to blow, they thought they had obtained

what they wanted; so they weighed anchor and sailed along the shore of Crete.

해설: 남풍이란?

남쪽에서 바람이 발생하여 북쪽 방향으로 부는 것을 말함.

참고로 바람의 방향은 총 8개 또는 16개로 나눌 수 있는데 다음과 같 은 명칭을 가지고 있다.
