日常에 智慧와 믿음을 주시는 말씀-17

”My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart,

for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity.“(잠 3:1-2)

prolong: 늘이다, 연장하다(lengthen). prosperity; 번영, 번창, 융성; 성공

 

”내 아들아, 나의 가르침을 잊지 말고, 나의 명령을 네 마음에 간직하여라. 그것들이

네 생명을 여러 해 동안 길게 해 주고 번영을 더해 주리라. “

 

17번째, 마태복음 4장21절부터 시작합니다.

21.Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee

and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee,

preparing their nets. Jesus called them,

 

거기서 더 가시다가 세베대의 아들 야고보와 그의 형제 요한을 보셨다. 그들은

아버지 세베대와 함께 배에서 그물을 손질하고 있었는데, 예수께서 그들을 부르

셨다.

 

해설: James는 왜 우리말로 야고보가 되었을까??

James는 Jacob(야곱)과 같은 뿌리의 이름이었으며 영어 James는 라틴어

Iacomus에서 변형된 형태다. 한국어 성경은 영어가 아니라 그리스어 원문을

기준으로 번역하다 보니 James를 야고보라고 부르게 된 사연이다.

그들은 곧 배와 아버지를 버려두고 예수를 따랐다.

 

해설:

우리 삶에서 내려놓아야 할 것과 따를 용기에 대해 깊이 생각하게 해 주는 대목이다.

 

23.Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching

the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness

among the people.

throughout: 곳곳에서, 전 지역에 걸쳐

Ex: The message spread throughout the region.

       그 소식은 지역 곳곳에 퍼졌다.

the good news of the kingdom: 하나님 나라의 복음

Ex: Jesus preached the good news of the kingdom.

      예수님은 하나님 나라의 복음을 전하셨다.

healing: 치유, 고침

Ex: Many people came to Jesus for healing.

      많은 사람들이 치유를 받기 위해 예수님께 왔다.

disease:질병

Ex: He healed every disease among the people.

      그는 사람들 가운데 모든 질병을 고치셨다.

sickness: 병, 아픔

Ex: They brought to Him all who were suffering from sickness.

      그들은 병으로 고통받는 모든 사람을 그분께 데려왔다.

 

예수님은 갈릴리 전역을 다니시며 회당에서 가르치고, 하나님 나라에 대한 기쁜

소식을 전하며, 사람들의 온갖 질병과 아픔을 고쳐주셨다.

 

synagogues(회당, 유대교예배당)?

유대인들이 기도하고 율법서(토라)를 읽는 장소로서 종교 교육, 모임, 축제, 결혼식

등 다양한 공동체 활동이 이루어지는 공간이다.

 

24.News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who

were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-

possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them.

severe pain: 심한 통증

demon-possessed: 귀신 들린(악령에 시달리는)

seizures: 간질, 발작

paralyzed: 중풍병자, 마비된 자

 

그에 대한 소문이 온 시리아에 퍼졌고, 사람들이 온갖 질병에 걸린 자들, 심한 고통

을 겪는 자들, 귀신 들린 자들, 간질병 환자들, 중풍병자들을 그에게 데려왔으며,

예수께서 그들을 고쳐 주셨다.

 

25.Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and the

region across the Jordan followed him.

큰 무리, 많은 무리

 

갈릴리와 데가볼리와 예루살렘과 유대와 요단 강 건너편 지역에서 많은 무리가
