    오늘은 4장1절 부터 시작 합니다. 

"Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise "!

 sluggard: 게으름뱅이

게으른 자여 개미에게 가서 그가 하는 것을 보고 지혜를 얻으라(잠6:6)

 

1.The priests and the captain of the temple guard and the

Sadducees came up to Peter and John while they were  speaking to

the people.

The priests:

제사장

the temple guard:

성전 경비병

the Sadducees:

사두개파

 

베드로와 요한이 사람들에게 설교하고 있을 때 사제들과 성전 수위병

과 사두게파 사람들이 그 자리에 나타났다

 

2.They were greatly disturbed because the apostles were  teaching the

people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection  of the dead.

 

be+pp: (수동형) they were greatly disturbed

그들은 몹시 꺼림직 했다.

greatly disturbed:

몹시 꺼림직

proclaiming:

선포하는중, 공포

resurrection of the dead:

죽음에서 부활

the dead:

죽은자(사람)

 

그들은 사도들이 사람들을 가르치며 예수 안에서 죽은 자의 부활을

선포하는 것을 매우 불쾌하게 여겼다.

 

3.They seized Peter and John, and because it was evening,they put

them in jail until the next day.

 

그들은 베드로와 요한을 붙잡았는데 날이 이미 저물었으므로그들을 감옥

에 넣어 다음날까지 가두어 두었다.

 

4.But many who heard the message believed, and the number  of men

grew to about five thousand.

그 메시지를 들은 많은 사람들이 믿었다.

 

그러나 말씀을 들은 사람 중에 믿는 자가 많으니 남자의 수가약 오천 이나

되었다

 

5.The next day the rulers, elders and teachers of the law met  in Jerusalem.

the rulers, elders and teachers of the law:

간부들, 장년들, 율법선생들

이튿날 관리들과 장로들과 율법선생들이 예루살렘에 모였는데

 

알아두면 유익한

“믿음” 어떻게 표현하나 ??

Faith: 신념이나 신앙을 의미.

Ex: She has strong faith in her abilities.

       ( 그녀는 자신의 능력을 굳게 믿고 있다)

     His faith in humanity is unwavering.

      ( 그는 인류에 대한 믿음이 확고하다)

 

Belief: 신념이나 믿음을 의미.

Ex: Her belief in a higher power guides her actions.

       ( 그녀의 신앙이 그녀의 행동을 이끈다)

      It is his belief that everything happens for a reason.

       ( 그는 모든 일이 이유가 있어서 일어난다고 믿는다)

 

Trust: 신뢰를 의미.

Ex: She has complete trust in her friends.

       (그녀는 친구들을 완전히 신뢰해요)

      Building trust is essential in any relationship.

      (신뢰를 쌓는 것은 어떤 관계에서도 필수적이다)

 

Confidence: 자신감을 의미.

Ex: He has confidence in his skills.

       (그는 자신의 기술에 자신감을 가지고 있다)

      Her confidence grew as she gained experience.

       (그녀는 경험을 쌓으면서 자신감이 커졌다)
