"He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for

what he has done."

  가난한 자를 불쌍히 여기는 것은 여호와께 꾸어 드리는 것이니 그의 선행을 그에게 갚아

  주시리라(잠19:17)

 

                                英語聖經을 쉽게 解釋, 解說 합니다.                                  

                                사도행전 15장11절 부터 시작합니다. 

 

11.No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that  we are

saved, just as they are.“

 

아니요! 우리는 주 예수님의 은혜로 구원을 받는다고 믿습니다. 그들도 마찬

가지입니다

 

12.The whole assembly became silent as they listened to Barnabas and

Paul telling about the miraculous signs and  wonders God had done

among the Gentiles through them.

13.When they finished, James spoke up:"Brothers, listen to me.

 

그들의 말이 끝나자 야고보(James)가 형제 여러 분,내 말을 들어 보세요 라고

했다.

 

해설: James(제임스)가 야고보로 불리워 지게된 이유는?

영어 이름 "James"는 원래 히브리어 이름 "Ya'akov(יעקב)"에서 유래되었으며,

이는 그리스어로 "Iakobos(Ιάκωβος)"였다. 이후 라틴어에서는 "Iacobus"로

기록되었고, 영어를 거치며 "James"라는 형태가 정착하게 되었다. 

 

14.Simon has described to us how God at first showed his concern by

taking from the Gentiles a people for himself.

 

시몬이 우리에게 말해주기를, 하나님께서 처음으로 이방인들 가운데서 자신을

위하여 한 백성을 택하심으로써 그들에게 관심을 보이셨다고 했습니다.

(하나님께서 이방인들에게도 성령을 주셨음을 증언하며, 그들이 유대인 신자들

과 동등하게 하나님의 백성이 될 수 있음을 강조하는 내용)

 

Tip: 異邦人(이방인) 이란 

Gentile: 비 유대인

Stranger: 낯선 사람.

Alien: 외국의,이국(異國)의

Foreigner: 외국인(alien), 외인

 

Gentile:

Ex: Paul preached to both Jews and Gentiles, spreading the message

      of Jesus Christ.

     바울은 유대인과 이방인 모두에게 설교하며 예수 그리스도의 메시를 전파 했다.

 

Stranger:
Ex: She felt like a stranger in the new city, unfamiliar with the  streets

      and faces.

      그녀는 거리와 얼굴에 익숙하지 않은 새로운 도시의 낯선 사람처럼 느꼈다.

 

Alien:

Ex: The concept of an alien civilization has fascinated scientists and

      writers for centuries.

       외계 문명의 개념은 수세기 동안 과학자와 작가들을 매료시겼다.

 

Foreigner:

Ex: As a foreigner, he had to adapt to the local customs and language.

      외국인으로서 그는 현지 관습과 언어에 적응해야 했다.
