"Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf".

thrive: 번영하다, 잘 자라다,번창하다.

Ex: Plants thrive in sunlight(식물은 햇빛 속에서 잘 자란다)

         재물을 의지하는 자는 넘어질 것이나, 의로운 자는 푸른 잎사귀처럼 번성할 것이다.

                              英語 聖經을 쉽게 解釋하고 解說 합니다. 

                                 사도행전7章31節부터 시작 합니다.

 

31.When he saw this, he was amazed at the sight. As he  went over to look more

closely, he heard the Lord's voice:

 

그 광경을보고 모세가 신기해서 좀더 자세히 보려고 다가가자 주의 음성이 들렸다.

 

32.I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.' Moses

trembled with fear and did not dare to look.

trembled with fear:

두려움에 떨며

나는 네 조상의 하나님, 곧 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 하나님 이다.모세가 무서워

서 떨며 감히 쳐다보지 못하자

 

33.Then the Lord said to him, 'Take off your sandals; the  place where you are

standing is holy ground.

 

주께서 모세에게 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. 네가 서있는 곳은 거룩한땅이니 신발을

벗어라고 하셨다.

 

해설:

이 말씀은 구약 출애굽기 3장 5절에 나오는 구절로서 모세가 불타는덤불의 모습을 하신 하나님과

마주치는 이야기의 일부분이다. 하나님은 모세에게 자신이 서 있는 땅이 거룩하게 여겨지기 때문에

샌들을 벗으라고 지시하신다. 많은 문화권에서 신발을 벗는 것은 특히 신성한 공간에서 존경과 경건의

표시임으로 이것은 모세가 신의 앞에 있음을 의미 하는 것이다.

 

34.I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their

groaning and have come down to set  them free. Now come, I will send you back

to Egypt‘

I have indeed seen:

정말로(참)을 보았고

I have heard their groaning:

나는 저들의 신음소리를 듣었다.

have come down to set them free:.

그들을 자유케해 주려고 내려왔다.

 

나는 내 백성이 이집트에서 학대받는 것을 참으로 보았고 그들의 탄식 소리도 들었

다.그래서 내가 그들을 자유케 해 주려고 내려 왔다. 내가 너를 이집트로 되돌려 보내

겠다.

 

Tip: 고난, 억압. suppression, repression, oppression.???

oppression:

The people rose up against the oppression they had endured for decades.

사람들은 수십 년 동안 견뎌온 억압에 맞서 일어섰다

 

suppression:

The government faced criticism for its suppression of  free speech during the protests.

정부는 시위 중 언론의 자유를 억압했다는 비판에 직면했다.

 

repression:

The repression of emotions can lead to psychological  issues over time.

감정의 억압은 시간이 지남에 따라 심리적 문제로 이어질 수 있다.

 

35.This is the same Moses whom they had rejected with the  words, 'Who made

you  ruler and judge?' He was sent to be  the their ruler and deliverer by God

himself, through  the  angel who appeared to him in the bush.

그말을 배척했던 그들

their ruler and deliverer:

지도자와 구원자

the angel who appeared to him in the bush:

덤불가운데서 그에게 나타나신 천사

 

이 모세는 그들이 '누가 너를 우리의 지도자와 재판관으로 세웠느 냐?' 라고 말하며

거부했던 바로 그 모세다. 그는 하나님께서 직접보내셔서, 넝쿨 숲속에서 나타난

천사를 통해 그들의지도자와 구원자로 삼으셨다. 

 

ruler and judge:

하나님께서 주신 권위를 통해 이스라엘 백성을 이끄는 ruler(지도자)이자, 공의로운

판단을내리는 judge(심판자)로서의 역할을 수행하여 하나님의 뜻에 따라 공의와 정

의를 실현하는 책임을 가진 자를 뜻한다.
