사도행전 9장26절 부터 시작 합니다.
26.When he came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples,but they were
all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple.

27.But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them
how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken
to him,and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of
Jesus.

바나바는 어떤인물 이였나 ?
바나바는 예수님이 직접 선택하신 12제자 중 한 사람은 아니였으나 그는 초기 기독
교 에서 중요한 역할을 했던 인물로, 사도행전에서는 심지어 사도로 불리기도 했다.
그러나 바나바는 사울을 맞아들여, 사도들에게로 데려가서 사울이길에서 주님을 본
일과,주님께서 그에게 말씀하신 일과,사울이 다마 스쿠스에서 예수의 이름으로 담
대히 말한 일을그들에게 이야기해 주었다.
28.So Saul stayed with them and moved about freely in Jerusalem,
speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.

사울을 죽이려고 꾀하였다.

그들의 전통적인 신앙에 도전하는 그의 메시지의 급진적인 특성 때문에 그를 죽이
려 했다. 이 구절은 바울과 같은초기 기독교인들이 신앙을 전파하는 과정에서 직면
했던 극심한 저항을 보여주고 있다.
30.When the brothers learned of this, they took him down to Caesarea and
sent him off to Tarsus.
